Resistance is Asking You to Show Up For What You Said You Wanted

Yep.

The thing is… you can procrastinate.

You can  overthink it.

You absolutely can let fear talk you out of it.

Just know that if and when you do this is what’s actually happening:

You: I wish I could have x or be y. I just don’t have what I need to get there.

Life: Here, what you need is through here.

You: Whoa. Hold on now. That is going to make me look foolish. What does that have to do with x. Or y. There’s no way that I could do that. I don’t want to face that part. That wouldn’t even work.

Life: Here. What you need. Is right here.

You: *self sabotage*

The thing about resistance is that it puts the requirement of your next level or dream front and center.

Resistance reveals what you need.

(and are more than likely ignoring)

Resistance is asking you to move or change in a way that puts you & your money/dream/desire where your mouth is.

Joy is resistance.

Rest is also resistance.

Don’t believe me?

Then why aren’t you doing it already?

You do need both: joy and rest - and we can argue that point all day.

So show me where the joy is in your life.

Show me where the rest is in your life.

Now…what are you saying to yourself about it?

While you’re resting?

While you’re joyful?

Are you gentle? Are you proud?

Or are you constantly thinking about what else you should be doing.

Are you telling yourself that those are luxuries you don’t have time for right now?

Things that are impossible in your current phase in life?

And honestly, you have every right to believe that.

Just know - what I hear. What life hears is.

Even though you used resistance (see yourself in arguments above) to show me the way, I’m not that interested in what I said I wanted.

So I’m going to stay right here.

Where I am.

Scared.

Stuck.

Because I’m afraid of what resistance is trying to tell me.
